In the fifteen years I have spent researching the stories of my father and many other veterans, I followed many roads. Some of them were specific to one war, one action, or one unit. Some were unique to only a few individuals, or even one. Ohers apply to almost anyone searching for any  veteran, and it is astonishing how much our government provides, at no cost, to such searchers.
